Wow, awesome stuff, teamwork and 2 and 3 man lifts, definitely not a spectator sport. And I bet back then they didn't complain at the end of the day how sore their arms were, they just drank another shot and beer chaser.:plastered:

Yeah I would have to agree tuna fishing like that is back breaking work. Finchaser I found a color version of the fishing you posted

Yep those were real men of the sea,no spotter planes,electronics or nets.They didn't rape the sea like todays so called fisherman:(.

there was a big ol cane pole in the attic of our 1940s era lbi house, and as a kid i always wondered what the heck anybody would have used it for.

I would have to say fishing for giant trevally with plugs, that looks pretty intense when they smash it.
