tips for summer snappers?

I am going to start looking for the snappers in the back bays. Is it too early yet or are they around? I use the cork rig with the gold hook. Is there a better way to catch them than that? Thanks guys!

Add some flash to the hook under the sm. surgical tube if there is one just slide the tube up grab some flash material tie it to the hook crazy glue the thread and slide the surgical tube down.:thumbsup:

Throw some small kastmasters, 1/4 to 1/2 oz, and you'll catch them if they are around. good luck.

You can also increase your chances if you put little pieces of spearing on the hooks.
