What is one of the better reels I can buy that will stand up well to saltwaterbut doesn't cost more than $100? Want to get one for my brother and try to get him into fishing.

I have heard good things about Shimano Spheros reels.
I have one but have not used it yet. From what I have heard, for the $$ its a good reel. But I would not expect miracles with it, sand and salt will more than likely get the best of it at some time.
