SEAFOOD EXTRAVAGANZA SATURDAY 9/25 IN SUPPORT OF REP. ADLER
Friends of the Marine & Coastal Community Unite For Barnegat Light Fundraiser

Barnegat Light, NJ - This Saturday, September 25th, the New Jersey fishing community is coming together to honor Congressman John Adler (D-District 3). Garden State fishermen are invited to join Jim Donofrio on behalf of the Recreational Fishing Alliance's Political Action Committee (RFA PAC), along with Ernie Panacek of Viking Village in Barnegat Light, for a seafood extravaganza featuring fresh, local seafood. This special reception for Rep. Adler will take place Saturday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Off the Hook Restaurant at Viking Village.

"As a New Jersey state Senator, John Adler helped pass the Menhaden Bill which outlawed taking menhaden for reduction purposes," Donofrio said, adding "John Adler has supported recreational fishing access as a State Senator and now as a member of congress continues his support of New Jersey's saltwater fisheries, anglers and families who depend on the sound sustainable management of our nations fisheries."

In a recent letter to the Asbury Park Press (http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?llr=hclmspcab&et=1103704561687&s=10015&e=001jETtbgwhv3nQAhVFenY5dbydg00VzJ7JSfNOuIVi8KW3X bcWafiFqMMmOUVMXLG6cN3injQgClGFJAB9rWdkjpY-gyph10OSaufj770X4KJCpsS2OJoiRuvPO9ZPPpC7IuuOeM9h83 21b8oUWI63jaQ1RDCEBU7uc_8caAwV78g=) one New Jersey sportsman said "Hunting and fishing are valued pastimes in New Jersey. It is critical that we have a representative who understands and shares our values. That is why I believe it is crucial we re-elect Rep. John Adler, D-NJ."

And Donofrio added that Rep. Adler is also a co-sponsor of the Flexibility in Rebuilding American Fisheries Act (HR1584) which is supported by the RFA, and said the Congressman is also the primary author of a comprehensive Barnegat Bay enhancement bill.

Donations for this Saturday's event in Barnegat Light are being accepted at $150 per person; a sponsorship opportunity on Saturday is $500, while co-chair is $1,000. Contributions or gifts to Adler for Congress are not tax deductible; Adler for Congress may accept contributions from an individual totaling up to $2,400 per election; $4,800 per election cycle. Federal PAC's may contribute up to $5,000 per election; $10,000 per cycle. FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER CRUISE WITH THE RFA-NJ
Tickets Still Available for Sunset Buffet Cruise

Sea Isle City, NJ - The New Jersey Chapter of the Recreational Fishing Alliance is hosting a "Sunset Buffet Cruise" this Friday, September 24th from 7 to 10 pm. The event will take place aboard the Starfish, located at 42nd Street and the Bay in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. The Starfish, operated by Captain Bob Rush, is a 70-foot long, 30-foot wide catamaran, specifically designed for a smooth and stable ride. Because the vessel is so stable in the water, it is ideal for a party cruise.

Admission is $30 per person and includes a three hour cruise, a catered buffet, and an upper deck dance floor with DJ entertainment. There is a full cash bar onboard the boat with drink specials offered throughout the cruise. Captain Rush of the Starfish has been kind enough to donate the boat and his services for this special event. Proceeds from the cruise will go to the New Jersey Chapter of the Recreational Fishing Alliance, to further fight for the rights of New Jersey fishermen.

In addition, RFA members and nonmembers alike will have the opportunity to meet board members of the state chapter to discuss fisheries management issues in a casual, social setting. "I believe it is important to raise funds for the state chapter to continue to do the work of protecting the rights of New Jersey fishermen," said RFA-NJ Fundraising Committee Chairman Chris Peszka.

"It is also and excellent way to unwind, relax and enjoy a cruise in late summer," he added.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the RFA-NJ website at www.rfanj.org (http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?llr=hclmspcab&et=1103704561687&s=10015&e=001jETtbgwhv3mTsETDuA-RJ0A1SXxK1BG_B1umicvxGc68q1dgD_L6dZuUAi5Bh0nhmIfyP OIgao4Wus0UkbdwDrMC6M8G0rKkL8w1D1rMdD8m7OUBBXEWrA= =).

Same here. Since talking to you I understand a lot more about the importance of what goes on with our fisheries. Thanks for everything you have done. We should all start to think more seriously and get more involved so that there are fish to catch in the future.
