I don't know if I would have been out with a 17' Whaler today, unsinkable or not.:beatin:

BARNEGAT LIGHT Two unidentified men whose
boat had capsized in the Barnegat Light Inlet late
Sunday morning were picked up by two separate
Good Samaritans who had boats in the vicinity,
Coast Guard officials said.

The two boats were then escorted by a motorized
Coast Guard lifeboat to the Barnegat Light station,
said Coast Guard petty officer, 2nd Class Crystal
Kneen.

The two persons, both wearing life jackets, were
picked up at roughly 10:15 a.m. after their 17-foot
Boston Whaler capsized in rough surf within the
inlet, officials said.

Soon after they were rescued, they were taken back
to Coast Guard Station at
Bayview Avenue and West 6th Street where
Emergency Medical Service personnel treated them
for exposure to the chilly ocean water, and then
they were released.

Score 1 for Darwin's theory of natural selection.

Lucky people were close enough to pick them up otherwise the outcome could have been a lot different.
