Wood lathe

I have made some plugs over the years, and while not perfect have caught some fish on most. Some years ago I purchased a cheap craftsman lathe but I'm looking to upgrade to something a little better. somewhere in the 250 to 350 range. Any suggestions?

Grizzly,turncrafter or jet midi are all good ones from my research you may want to look for a longer tool rest and chuck for through drilling so you can do most of the work on the lathe other than lip slots belly weights and hook holes.
