I can't wait till the striped bass season opens. I'm going stir crazy! Let's post the water temps of the bays and barnegat area (LBI to Manasquan?) ocean temps here. Someone said the bass start hitting when the water temps are around 45-50 degrees?

yep around i'd say around the middle of May

They got to 41 or 42 yesterday, and were probably around 50 at a certain place way in the back. 1st keeper bass caught this morning.

Didn't ya hear? By Mid March all the fish will be at Montauk.
There are never any fish in the BB anyway, except for jellyfish. Can we make a sammich with jellyfish? :drool:

Just a fyi fellas, the bb temps hit 45.5 yesterday, are back down to 39 now. The ocean was 42 degrees last time I checked.
