What would you say is your least expensive plug that works the best?

Straight up bomber a-salt, cheap and good for the spring schoolies.

5 1/2" Redfin $5-$6 Represents small bait fish and sand eels.
Superstriike Polaris Popper $15-$17. Gets fish attention when popping, casts a mile, can be swam without popping. Has probably caught the most fish for me since I started fishing in saltwater.

Creek Chub Striper Strike sinking popper Red Eye (pearl) and the banana color are the 2 best.

i got you all beat its a pocket-rocket i can work it like a sand eel, darter ,spook,pencil popper
and cost me 4 bucks to make any weight did great with it last year

I have a beat up olive colored darter that just plain catches. Cost me $10

I like the superstriks needlefish. You can get them cheap in the spring flea markets and they catch fish in many conditions. The same thing for small plastic poppers, 3" or smaller. No one seems to demand them so you can buy for little dinero. They are real effective at catching.
