There are quite a few applications out there. Most of them involve putting the mount on the middle of your yak, usually toward the front. DannyV (MSGDan) feels differently. He doesn't want to camera mount to be in his way when he's fighting a big fish, so he got a little creative. He used the conduit piping that a lot of electricians use. Although it's metal, it's galvanized and it has lasted him well.

I met up on the beach with him after a paddle in the Spring, and he let me take these pics to help others. Very nice of ya, Dan, and thanks! :HappyWave:

Here is some of the linkage, and shots of the camera set-up.

The main reason he said he did this, also, was to get a better wide angle of himself when landing a nice fish. He's absolutely right. With the camera too close to you, you usually end up cutting something off, or just getting a nice pic of the fish, and not yourself. The set up allows the camera to swing about 3' away from the boat.

I have seen the way he photographs and videos himself. I just now connected it to this camera mount. He must be able to get a real wide range of distance with it. Thanks for posting.
