How to prevent rust/corrosion on lures

Noticed alot of my tackle which is new and only been in the water for a short time is startING to show alot of rust/corrosion on the hooks other areas. Any advice to prevent this from happening so fast? maybe something i should be doing when i get home from a trip

Rinse with fresh water each time you come back from a trip. At times my laziness has got to me on this, and I don't scrub the boat thoroughly, especially the stainless steel. You pay dearly when you don't do that.:beatin:

Thanks ...i figured the saltwater played a major part as my freshwater gear takes a beating and ive never had this problem
