This is an fyi for folks who fish brigantine. According to a notice I read the north end is now open and there are no plover restrictions.

"There are currently no unfledged piping plover chicks remaining at North
Brigantine Natural Area. The last remaining chick (from Piping Plover Nest
#10) did not survive to fledgling stage. As a result, the vehicle barrier,
located just south of the “vehicle cut”, will be removed on Monday August
15. Recreational vehicle use north of this location can resume as of that
date. However, some portions of the upper beach at the northern tip will
remain fenced to protect seabeach amaranth and other rare plant habitat.
Also, this fenced area provides some protection for roosting migratory
shorebirds. The back bay area of the north tip also remains closed to
protect migratory shorebirds."
please note I am not sure of the exact time of day, as we have some
reconfiguring of the fence that will remain to be done first, but mid
afternoon is likely."
