I am a diagram person, so those diagrams were perfect. I found it interesting that you will get a greater storm surge in an area where it is shallow, like Louisiana, than Florida, where it the depth drops off to deeper levels. I guess that would also apply to New Jersey, where we should have a smaller storm surge than Louisiana.
