These are all good points people.
Another thing to consider when you meet Vets in person. I've had the good fortune to meet a few of them in the past months. Recent Vets have gotten recognition when they returned from the Battle or War. However, a lot of them, from the Korean Conflict to Vietnam Era, received little recognition at all. These would be men in the 60-80 year old range.

When you do meet them, a simple "Thanks for your service, Soldier!", along with maybe shaking their hand, can go a long way toward making their day or month. Some of them have never been formally recognized. Keep that in mind. Folks respond to praise. Some of these people, I call them the forgotten soldiers, never got as much as the rest of the Vets do now....

As always, any gesture at all is appreciated......
Thanks for reading.....

May God watch over all our Vets, active and inactive, on this Special Day.:thumbsup:

They were talking about this on 101.5 this afternoon. Some of those guys never got a ticker tape parade or hero celebration. They were vilified and spit on, especially the vietnam vets. They said if you see them, stop and thank them. Also good to visit a cemetery and place a few stray flowers on the vet areas if you can.
