It Takes me one day to make a lure …more for dry time ,all done on a belt sander.
I will …..I have some many lures I hard to find time to throwthem all. Most of the time I lose them. I lost 7 lures in one day due to power pro “mysterious line breakage” that’s why I don’t spend a lot of time to make them look perfect. I want them to swim right and be strong.
I do a lot of blue fishing in the spring. By my house are some nice spots. I’m run down any chance I get.

Madcaster, Vpass and I were talking about this. It's quite possible you have a minor stress crack in one of the top guides on your rod. Take a look with a magnifying glass, or better yet, run a q-tip slowly along the inside portions of each guide, starting with the top one. I'll bet you will find a cracked guide. Get that fixed and you'll lose less plugs.
And if you're looking for a diffferent kind of braid, I can recommend Berkeley Fireline, 20lb, avail at many big box stores like WM, or tackle shops near you....Fin turned me on to it, and I've never looked back.
You couldn't give me PP for free, I won't us it anymore...not because of line breakage, but because I fish harsh conditions at night, and got tired of the wind knots. This rarely happens with Fireline, which makes for a less stressful fishing experience overall...
Try that Q-tip trick, let us know what happens...:HappyWave:

What kind of set-up do you have? Is it a table belt sander or one that you have to move around by hand? And how long did it take to learn to do that. Very professional, dude.

Is it harder to make a jointed plug that is through wired? You have to get it centered just right in 2 places, that looks like it takes a lot of skill?

I test swam it. Floats nice. It swims great on a fast retrieve. The water was very dirty .so it was hard to see the action from a distance. I changed the eyes. Just received an order in the mail

These plugs are also good for colder weather when the fish are sluggish....the group of guys I fished with last week has gotten bass to 30# class on black jointed swimmers at night.

They look nice. Do you fish them when the smaller bass are here or just for bigger ones?
