whats with all the cookie cutter bass?

I heard some guys are getting shorts but in the back areas where we fish the bass have all been between 32-40". Where are all the small bass now and why does it seem these NJ bass are similar in size?

dead probably from the clammers with small hooks belly hooking fish and poachers in the back. Also all the breeders killed by the snag and drop group nothing spawns no small fish just like it started in the last collapse

Same thing for me tonight, all bass were 33" and up. I was happy but would have liked to see some smaller ones just to show that there are different years out there.
Thanks for the explanation finchaser. btw I released all my fish to do their repro thing.
