I remember some guys saying they get fluke in the summer and fall in the surf when they are fishing for other fish at night. Does anyone specifically fish for them at night? Just wondering how and where might be the best place to try for them? thanks

We use to on the Long Branch Pier and off well lit docks in the rivers

My buddies use to get them fishing clam bellies on the boat around the bridges.I hate clams so I stayed home.

I hate fishing clams too.
I'll catch a few fluke working the lower water column each year. On plastic swimmers and metal. Surprised at some of the fluke caught on a pretty fast retrive.

Part of that equation still works. Skip the clams, double up on the gulp. They are active in the darlk when there is bait around.
