2012, Year of the sea robin?

I have been using gulp for fluke. Catching a few mostly shorts but some nice keepers about 1 out of every 15.
Also Im catching some of the biggest sea robins I have ever seen in the surf. Some of these things are probably 2 lbs. Monsters. This is around the sri. Anyone else noticing this?

I can't speak for NJ, but around the inlets of LI there are a lot of big ones this year.
