John H. Geiser

AGE: 80 • Wall

John Geiser, lifelong resident of Wall Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012. As a longtime writer for The Asbury Park Press, John was well-known for his fishing column, "Hook, Line and Sinker". He lobbied tirelessly for local saltwater sports fishermen throughout his journalistic career and when he wasn't reporting on the fishing news he joined his wife, Nancy and son, George in running Geisers Farms on New Bedford Rd. in Wall.

John was predeceased by his loving wife of over 50 years, Nancy. His children and grandchildren, Diane Geiser of Naples, ME and her two sons, Paul and David Stanford, Joyce G. Schwaller of McKinney, TX and George Geiser

I had enjoyed his writing for years.....when I was younger and went to my uncle's house, they had the APP and I used to read his column......

An asset to the community......
A good man......and a wealth of info......

John was a true outdoorsman and he helped the fishermen. He will be sorely missed. Sorry for your loss finchaser.
