Here are some pics from this morning, basically Pre-Sandy (I fished bayside before taking a ride to see what the ocean looked like).
It was a lot of white water......had a strong urge to cast into it. Can't imagine what it will be like in the next 48 hours.
First pic is sand piled up in preparation for Sandy
The rest are of the rough surf. Was a strong North East wind.
Was one big wave that made me sprint to the steps in the bottom pic, on that wave the water moved another 50 feet up the beach.

Nice pics dude! Be careful. The noaa has revised the predictions. Now the storm is tracking slightly north. Might not be as bad as predicted.

Thanks for sharing the photos Monty. The monmouth beach swell info is now reporting at 10.8ft. Too big or dangerous to even surf out there. I heard a surfer went missing today. Be safe.

Went out to take some pictures for you guy's, I got a few but it is worse than what than I saw and photograhed in 1991and saw in 1962. All bridges leading to this area and the barrier Island are clossed many roads are washed out. The Manasquan inlet and river have overflowed at low tide. Most of the barrier island sand dunes have breached and the Atlantic ocean is running through houses and streets. For anyone who fishes Ortley Joey Harrisons surfclub a land mark has been washed away also the Parkway is now closed from LBI south to the end. The waves are now breaking on top of the Seaside pier hitting the rides. Ponit Pleasant beach is being evacuated as is Manasquan. Tree's are being snapped or rippedout of the ground. It is definately not a nice day in paradise. IMO the fall run is over as there are no roads or beaches and by time the clean up is done and sand comes back fish will be long gone. Well lights a flickering and wind sounds like train coming through.IMO fall run is over as there is no way to get to ocean and by time roads are openened and some cases repaved and beaches come back fish could be long gone
