Drag sticking Spinning Reel.....

A friend of mine lost 2 fish the other night because he said the drag was sticking.....and the line would snap during retrieve.

I advised him to take the reel apart and clean it......
Some others may have additional advice....

Tell him to check his line guides. He could have a hairline crack in one. That could be the cause of breakoffs too. Run a q-tip through the last 2 guides.

Yes it could be the rod tip instead of the drag. The Qtip is a good idea whenever you are having problems. Eliminate that first.
