Dr. Jane Lubchenco to retire.

The administrator of NOAA, Dr. Jane Lubchenco (http://www.noaa.gov/lubchenco.html), announced that she will step down from her position at the end of February 2013.
The Capital Weather Gang broke the news (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/post/noaa-administrator-jane-lubchenco-stepping-down-in-february/2012/12/12/b9edb47c-4477-11e2-9648-a2c323a991d6_blog.html) before noon Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.

probably one of the other 4 people she brought over from Pew to NOAA or maybe Captain Paul who is pushing the bunker bill whose charted boat accepts funding from the PEW foundation

What SS said. If the policy planks do not change it won't make a difference. Recreational fishermen are low on the priority totem pole in this administration.

I agree these people have infiltrated noaa. Time to get real fishermen back and on some of these boards.
