I have caught a lot of nice bass in the back bay this year. Only started fishing the front when the bay temps dropped like a stone. Since then have had one good week of fishing since the hurricane.
Starting to clean my gear and put it away. I can't help feeling that we were robbed of some fishing time by Sandy. We who live in the bay areas know of her devistation, and sometimes we need to get away from it all and fish. As I pack things up piece by piece, I'm bummed out.
Who else feels the same way?

I too feel we missed a lot of the season ledhead. I have not fished since the hurricane and am hoping that there is some more normalcy next year. Good luck to you folks in the raritan bay area and best wishes for Christmas.

I have most of mine stowed away except for a light 7 1/2' rod to play with the baby bass with. Sad. Can't wait till Spring!

Mine has been cleaned since Dec 1, basically I have found fishing to be dead as a doornail for bass. Focusing on cod and ling trips.

Ditto on the 7 1/2, I even thinned out the herd and sold 3 reels and 2 custom rods . Now I have money to buy me a Christmas gift.

Just have one setup left as well. 7 1/2 for those sunny days in January and I have to get out of the house and walk the beach for a few hours.

Sad time of year water was 41 today I believe she sang no fish for 3 days. So I scrubed ,dried and waxed all 27 rods today. Sprayed all my reels with wd-40 until I can service them over the winter. Can only hope cod fishing is good mounted reels on my 3 cod rods .
