This here is a story told by my neighbor Gerry Sowers. He's a good ole boy and a kick in the pants to hunt with.

Gerry just underwent surgery the week before Christmas to try and do something about his Parkinson's Disease.
Please say a prayer for him; they will be turning on the electrodes they implanted in his brain on January 15th.
Thanks!
jon

Prayers for your friend. Like the story as well "Tried to avoid highways because too many possums tend to get killed" lol

Parkinson's is tough. We have come a long way, though in treatment protocol....a lot further than the L-Dopa that was the main treatment 30 years ago. I'll say a prayer for him too, Jon.

Checked out the Lonesome Possum Youtube too....he's a pretty creative guy...
"No worries about stampedes because whenever anything frightened them they just laid on the ground and played dead"
The posselope hunts are priceless..........catch and release......
I wish him well.....:HappyWave: Please let us know how things turn out for him.

Gerry was over today and suggested that I post his $3000 poem.

Gerry brought his decoy over the other day. Chloe did not know what to make of it. She gave it a sniff and a look as if to say "wow it sucks to be you."

I enjoyed the peom. I guess the picture is not that Coyote, and was the cause of costing him 3k to fix his truck. I Hope him well.:HappyWave:

rofl I don't know if that's the $3000 coyote or not - I'll have to ask him, we're going out coyote hunting Wednesday.

Thanks, bh. They turn on the electrodes Jan 15th. Hopefully he'll be able to function again after that. He's like a train wreck with all the uncontrollable movement going on. He looks just like he's falling down drunk at all times.

Here's Gerry in a local comedy club several years ago, before it got really bad:

(yeah, it says Roy, but he goes by Gerry, his middle name)
