what time of year are stripers best to eat?

Do you think what they eat has a lot to do with it. Or is it the pre-spawn vs post-spawn bass that taste different? thanks

Once they are feeding on bunker they taste horrible let em go not worth eating.Inlet fish taste better they are usually eating blackfish,porgies & seabass.

What^^^he said plus there are a lot better fish in the sea to eat than bass IMo they are almost up there with bluefish after 10 pounds
