Hey guys,
A lot of people have been asking me to make another "Catching Fish from Inside a Minnow Trap POV" video so I did. This time it was in a marsh creek on a flood tide. Its neat to see the large minnows squeeze in there lol
Enjoy

Nice work dogfish, especially on the editing. It's interesting to see how that trap fills. It's hard to tell but it seems like at the later stage of the tide there was more activity. I trapped minnows for years back in the Meadowlands and was surprised many times by the type of juvenile fish that would be in there. Keep up the good work! :HappyWave:

Yea, for our research we catch a lot of neat juvenile fish! The best time to trap for minnows seems to be once the water clears up or right after the water goes over the hole/opening. We get juvenile pollack, pinfish, flounder, black sea bass, tog, eels, grouper, butterfly fish, and more!

Well done. Read that you got a variety from your above post.
What would you say was the most unusual fish other than killies you ever got in a trap?

Great video, looks like lots of critters running around in the background before the tide came in.

I think the tropicals are the most unusual like when we catch a grouper (Gag) and the butterfly fish

Yea, the fiddler crabs came out to play!
