Chances for a Winter bite?

So what do you think the odds anything developes for a winter crab bite. The last two seasons I remember larger schools coming into the area about 10 days before Xmas with the long range forecasts holding.

This year the migration train was much shorter, Im leaning toward unlikely unless a rogue school is maybe trapped north of NJ yet, guess that be wishful thinking.

I agree with finchaser. The inshore water is colder than usual. Crabs are not around like they were in last years. Lots of little bait near the rocks but not many fish on them. don't hold your breath
