monty thanks for posting. Filled it out. I would be interested in the tally as well especially for what the majority think the legal limits should be. Keep us posted.

^^^^That says it all- I have had similar experiences. In the past you could always pull a few 30 lb fish out of the inshore bunker pods in the spring. For 2013 they were there but you had to run and gun to find a fish or two. This happened last year (2012) as well. The fall jigging is not as robust as it used to be either. Some say it was the hurricane effects. We were seeing this lack of fish before the hurricane. my .02
"Without a reasonable doubt the fishery is continuing to decline. 78% of fishers
report catching fewer fish compared to 4% reporting catching more. Also, 60% said they
were catching smaller fish compared to only 18% claiming they were larger.
Most of the older, larger fish from the great year classes of the 1990s and early 2000s have been removed from the population leaving us with smaller fish and many less fish from the pooryear classes that have generally characterized the fishery since 2003.We had survey results from 89 guides, which is one of our best years. Without adoubt the decline in striper fishing is hurting this valuable industry as well as the related
fishing tourism and tackle businesses."

Wow so that means that they have been in a decline for about 10 years. And not one of them politicians has done anything about it. They all ****.
