He was involved in a serious car accident on Beaver Dam Bridge this morning.....

If you know him, please reach out to his family and friends....he is one of the NJ Saltwater Legends, and has forgotten more about fishing, than many of us will ever know.......

He's also part of the Finchaser old timers who hang out at Castaway's B&T, Joe Melillo's shop.....a great guy, nice, helpful, and full of life and spunk.....

Please join me in thoughts and prayers for his safe recovery.........I'm sure his family and friends will appreciate it.....thanks.....

This was in ristori's column tonight. Get well soon Mike.

Castaway's regular, Mike Commune, was badly injured in that big pile-up of cars last week when light rain froze instantly on the Beaver Dam bridge. A woman was killed, but Mike escaped with just cuts and bruises that will hopefully be fully healed before stripers return to Point Pleasant Canal.
