May be a little graphic for some younger viewers I don't recommend you try this BTW, personally I prefer the pull through and cut off method myself.

I'm not so sure that would have worked with it.....
This year the practice will be without hooks.

That was pretty intense thanks for sharing. It seems pulling it through was the quickest and most hassle free. Too many things can go wrong with mono or braid. You really have to have a helper hold that hook steady if it's going to work right.

I don't know if that would have worked with Monty's hook that thing was in there.

I did that once with the hook embedded in someone. You really want to hold down on the shaft of the hook and try to keep it vice grip steady. Apply the line and pressure closest to the point of entry and before the hook starts to bend. Good video thanks for sharing.

Be careful out there gents. I was fishing the other jay near a jetty and it was windy. A guy casting a plug had the wind throw it back at him and he turned sideways to avoid it. He ended up getting the hook in the back of his thumb and had to leave and go to the hospital.

Another good reason to always bend your barbs down. If you get a world record bass and loose it well then you will be **ssed. If not you can still get fish in with the barbs bent down. you just can't give them any slack and keep in contol of the fish till its up on the beach.
