I'm with ya ss. Spun out this morning on an entrance ramp to 287, heavy snow all over my house roof, gutters frozen, ice all over my steps, yeah I had enough. If we could get this old man winter and that singing fat lady in one spot, well, I always have a few bags of sackrete and 5 gal pails in the trunk. Not that I would use them for anything else that they were not intended for. Yeah, I had enough.

It's been 1 solid winter.
It's time to warm up.
I am tired of the cold and snow, definitely ready for spring.

Aah you guys are a bunch of crybabies! When I was a kid we had snowdrifts that were 4 feet deep and we had to go to school through them. Did you notice how many school districts gave snow days recently? We are coddling our children. We should make them go to school in the ice and show toughen them up some.:viking:

I dont think we are coddling them the ice has been pretty bad. A lot of cars have crashed all you have to do is drive along a main highway and see the cars in the ditches. Better safe than sorry. Your children are precious cargo.

I hear you dude enough is enough. Opening day is less than 10 days away and the water will prob be almost frozen very tough to find them biting somewhere. Hey do you sell a lot of trucks in the winter or is it like sitting around watching paint dry waiting for a customer to come in?

haha now that's funny! We should get old man winter, the fat lady, give them both viagra, champagne, oysters, and unlimited rubbers and put them in a hotel room and lock it for the winter! Solve this problem real quick. If that doesn't work there is always the cement get it ready!

Ya no its funny normally Jan and Feb are our slowest month..Then in march/april everyone gets there taxs and the weather gets nice and we are rocking! But for some reason i dont no if its the weather or what but we have been the BUSIEST we have ever been this year and not just the trucks/suv's our car lot is just as busy..Its kind of a PIA with all the snow and there is always some yo-yo that wants to test drive the van that is buried under 4ft of snow!!!! I figure it will be a slow bite also till well after St Pattys day..I guess we'll see soon enuff!

^^^^^^ just read this, you may be able to get the state to pay for it.

Pothole damage on state roads may be eligible for reimbursement through Treasury DepartmentOriginally published: February 19, 2014 7:31 PM

EDISON - The harsh New Jersey winter this year means costs to maintain the state's roadways are skyrocketing, and that includes reimbursing drivers for damage to cars that have fallen victim to potholes.
Potholes have opened up across the state after weeks of fluctuating temperatures and constant plowing.
Richard Seidman, of Hoboken, says damage to his tires will cost him $400. He says he's not alone. "I realized right away my tire blew out. Pulled over and four cars in front of me doing same exact thing," he says. "I'd love to see if the state could do something for me. "

Drivers with cars damaged on state roads are eligible to file a pothole damage claim with the Department of Treasury. Applicants have 90 days after the accident to ask for reimbursement.
Repair estimates or receipts and copies of police reports or photos of the damage may be required. Drivers must also include insurance information and the location of the accident.

"Times are tough and money is money, and if i can get something back from state, I'm going to do it," Seidman says.
To get a claim form, drivers have to call the Treasury Department to have the form emailed to them.
Counties and towns have different policies for pothole damage on their roads.
The Treasury Department received 508 claims for reimbursement in 2012. The department received more than 1,400 in 2011, New Jersey’s last really bad winter. A spokeperson couldn't say how many of those claims were paid out, but he says all are investigated.

The potholes near where I live are are ginormous some the size of small cars. wonder if the auto body shops don't rub their hands with glee every time it snows.

I was just talking to a bud of mine about the pot holes yesterday he used to work the town by me and he said they RARELY rembursed people for the damages..Some tried to put in a claim but never got any thing back and the few that did were given 150$ which barley covers the cost of most tires now a days..and if your rim is bent forget it...Most of the times they used the excuse "it was AOG" or "Act Of God"!!! State roads may be different but i would count on them giving out to much money to people who suffered damages..I mean come on its Jersey! LOL

Blazin420
02-21-2014, 01:53 PM
Plus it doesnt help that most newer cars are made with oversized rims and low profile tires..It doesnt take much to tear up a rim on some these cars now a days!

cowherder
02-21-2014, 02:12 PM
^^^ Yeah some times the rims are worth more than the car itself whats up with that?

rockhopper
02-22-2014, 10:29 PM
I bent a rim on a pothole today. It was only a steel rim nothing fancy but it took me 2 hours going down to the tire shop finding and getting a used rim for a decent price. Then you have to pay for tire mount and dismount and balancing. Winter sucks come on spring!:2flip:

Sunburned penis ouch! Myself I hate the potholes. There are some near redlight cameras. You can tell they are bad as the traffic slows down in certain areas. If you go through one of those pothole infested stretches slowly and get nailed for a red light ticket do you suppose they might let you slide if you get to court?

Well with the "heat wave" Sunday I took out a 9 foot rod and took 20 casts into a snow covered field.
First casts since the shoulder surgery, not bad. Still have a good ways to go with it, but a good start (20-40 yard casts (1/2 oz to 4 1/2oz)).

With the snow on the field I could actually work the plug a bit, side to side, slow walk the dog......And it got hung up on a hole in the snow so I "set the hook".
Can't wait for this winter to end and April to get here. Targeting mid April to fish now.

A real lapdance means anything goes it depends on the tip amount. You get a decent amount of time to finish what you started without the bouncer knocking on the wall or cublicle. So glad to hear your wishes for me. I may have crabs for dinner. The public hairs will come later. I know they will be tasty if they are dancing. The women I like are usually completely shaved or closely shaven with a small landing strip. Hoorah! I will have a blast just to honor you two, good times! :HappyWave: :plastered:

I hit a pothole today that was so deep it knocked one of my fillings out. It was unavoidable as it was in one of those redlight intersections and I had to move quickly before the damn scam cam took my picture. I know winter is not over yet but please give us a break! Those redlight cams are terrible and if you are giving tickets out based on that then you should have some basic public works crews out there filling in the worst potholes in. My commute home tonight was horrendous because of some of those pothole laden streets. Don't we deserve any services for the high property taxes we are paying?:2flip:

Now I have to go the the dentist eff those cams and the greedy town officials that won't fix the potholes in the redlight cam areas.

Jeesh, that sucks.
I have a cracked windshield, small rock mark (was fine for 6 months) is now the complete length of the windshield.
Not sure if it was a jarring pot hole (which I have hit a bunch of), but it took 3 days last week to go the complete length.,,and will be replaced this Saturday.
