Thanks for the heads up fin.
I got an e-mail a while ago from Bucktail Willie, who has probably tagged more fluke than any individual in Jersey. I ddn't have time to post till now, but these were his comments. Whoever is able, please keep this thread updated, thanks! :HappyWave:

I've sat in on 3 discussions with some influential people in NJ fishing scene past couple of days and as reported in an earlier e-mail .current status for 2014 is 4 fluke at 18" and a 128 days BUT there still could be some wiggle room up or down

The NJ Marine Fish Council will meet March 6th at 4pm at Gallaway Library in Gallaway Twp and IF you want to make a difference and can attend you could make a difference

Assuming I get back from my cruise on 5th I will attend BUT I can tell you from past years the Council can be influenced by the crowd assuming they stay inside the ASMFC guidelines by the audience

If you want to make a difference here is an opportunity

thanks for the updates I hope we do get the 18". Anything bigger and we would be throwing almost all of them back.

It would be shortsighted to lump our catches in with LI. Hope that doesn't happen. Thank you for the info

Already has Federal government lumped NJ in with NY and CT one quota for all 3 states:2flip:
