I'm in China for a few days.
Went to watch JB's jointed minnow video.
Found out youtube is banned (locked out) here.

So is facebook and a bunch of google apps.

Mikes Plugs started a sale and I went to check it out, must be banned in china, its a no go.

I think people who complain how lousy our govt and country is....should take a trip to China or Russia, and see how bad things can really get.....

The bath room was so disgusting my *ss puckered up and refused to $hit. Was unreal bad. A bunch of holes in the ground with maybe a trickle of water and $hit splattered about. I must be getting old, I have been around these bathrooms before years ago, but was completely disgusted this time.
Will do best to schedule, also need to bring TP in case of emergency as there was none around.

Bottled water, not available in the factory, went 11 hours today without water (brought nutrition bars with me but the splattered $hit disgusted me so much I could only eat one). Stopped on way back to hotel and the people I am working for bought me a case of water (they are very nice people).

Hotel is very modern. Extremely clean. Have no idea why the have glass clear doors and walls inside the room, like to go to the bathroom its a see through glass door that is always closed or when open blocks a hall. Hard to see in the dimmed room....plus they have energy efficient lighting....the whole room is dimmed, that oldness makes it very difficult to see in a dimmed room. Plus motion sensors....everything is turning on and off automatically....I sit up and a light goes on..stuff just turns off.
And last night fireworks went off 30 yards straight out from my window (I'm on 18th floor). That was a surprise.

So far a decent trip.

They crouch over the hole.....its like 2 inch diameter...In the center of a bigger oval hole...I do not think they have good aim...this one I don't think had running water...or a trickle at most, there were like 12 of them.
I am thinking that's how it goes here, have seen it on other trips to other places in China.

This is so nasty. like a porta potty during early spring. Sometimes they don't clean them regularly the fishermen are pigs. In a public place you would think the bathrooms are in better shape. Just a hole in the ground? thanks for sharing :upck:

There is piping from them to a somewhere. Its that I have not seen evidence of running water, maybe they spray these down? They must/do at some point. Must clean them up, it just wasn't this day.Hoping tomorrow will be nice and clean just in case.

What he is talking about is not unusual. I have been on some commercial ships built in other countries. In a few the head consisted of a hole plumbed down into a holding tank. There would be an open and shut vent to keep it from overflowing or sloshing. None of the comforts that we are used to.

Hotel is very modern. Extremely clean. Just to clear things up, dim lights in the toilet area? How do you wipe yourself thoroughly. I was busting you before your trip. Now I feel bad for you. You don't have to bring any food back for us the e-coli can stay over there. I am only here 2 more days, so just a little inconvenience, I could surely use those boat shoes, have to do #1 in those holes too.

Have done a little thinking, with the glass walls and doors in the room, the toilet here is completely viewable with the door closed (wall and door is clear glass from floor to ceiling).
So if someone was here and had to go, they would be 100% viewable....That is weird.

A few other thoughts, and these are based on this and a few other trips here.
People are generally more friendly here than the US, more helpful.
Also people dress better here. In the US our clothes are more sloppy, people seem to be a step up or two from the US in this area.
Vehicle horn beeping is out of control.
Each trip over here there are substantial more newer vehicles on the road.

Well yesterday I went to the right side of the "bathrooms" separated a little by a divider, I open a stall and its the same type of toilet (hole/pipe in the ground, but a little cleaner (no where near clean)), so I do #1 and that's that. The one person at the factory who speaks English comes up to me today and tells me I went in the women's bathroom yesterday...

And I am not racing storminsteve for the gold or brown......

Had a trip to Mexico a while back, some of their "facilities" were disgusting. The TP situation there too was not US normal.

You guys have your conceptions of porn all mixed up. The Jap porn is the one with the poop and peeing. Surfstix is right there is a big market for voyeur porn. Well one thing this thread established is that in this country we know how to take a civil, clean, health conscious $hit, and that is thoughout the USA population. Kudos to the USA. We need not worry about our aim, shaking hands or high fiving someone who took a $hit, we have an abundence of good qualty soft toilet paper in places where its needed, not to worry about blowing a knee out crouching to take a $hit. We do it right over here. This is one thing our government has not screwed up yet, taking a proper $hit.:thumbsup:

Most of the NJ land fishermen have given up fishing for bass and moved on to fluke.....
I have no interest in making that transition.....

There are a handful of places, throughout the whole state, where people have been picking away, at larger bass, or any bass, at night....
Half of the winners in Berkeley's recent C&R tourney came from one specific area...

The OFFC and I spent a few hours yesterday making some moves and hoping to position ourselves where we might catch a few fish for the end of day bite.....lamenting on how 5-8 short years ago there were springtime surf blitzes all over the place.....
As we looked at the water in front of us....and the significant action 1000 yards out.....we realized there was no inshore bait (* other than some rainfish in the channels) visible in the surf line.....not much of a reason, other than bunker,....for those bigger fish to come in.......everythng is dependent on those bunker and the prevailing winds.....
