Rod action for ocean side artificial fishing

What rod action do you prefer when fishing artificials?
Different action for different plugs/rubber/metal?
Jetty/open beach?

I like a moderate fast for pencil poppers, extra fast for small metals and moderate for jetty or kayak fishing.

Personally I like a more moderate rod. I'm using the new 11' 2-5oz Century S2 Sheath. Hard to beat casting wish . Can throw the smaller SP minnows up to a 4 oz plug. With plenty of backbone.
