He's a grouch....cantankerous, crabby, surly, argumentative....(our internet battles are legendary) :kiss: :laugh:..obstinate......opinionated, judgemental critical, full of pi** and vinegar.......
He's also extremely generous, having helped many people with gifts of rods, or helpful advice on technique, by those who at times can't remember a simple "thanks" is priceless, and therefore forget to say "thanks".....he has helped too many ungrateful people, for sure....
But I don't want to focus on that...
He also has forgotten more about fishing, than some of us will never know....
is a passionate activist for fisheries management, striped bass stocks, and fishing rights and fishing access.....
Been fighting for fishermen for over 40 years......some of the large striped bass we see along our shores today, are the result of his and his friends' original activism to get the bunker boats pushed out........
He's also survived serious health challenges ,is a role model (though a cantankerous one), generous, and full of advice when asked.....
Sometime, I want to strangle ya, pal......but just know that despite your orneriness and stubborn and argumentative nature.....I love ya anyway.......truly glad to have met ya at the fling all those years ago.....you and Killie standing on the sidelines....2 great people......
