Its July and we have the first one Arthur coming this weekend just in time to ruin some peoples good times. Opinions? Who's hoping that some of these storms wash away the beaches and we get our rocks back again?
A little preview of the storm track

With the large waves running up the beach and pulling all that crap they call sand back into the wash and surf zone I am thinking it will be a mess for a few days.
Sand spreading out and burying creatures.
I tend to over think things and may be completely 100% clueless on this.

I'm heading to Florida in a few days- I looked at the beach cams there an hour ago and it was business as usual. You would not even know there was a tropical storm off the coast right now.

Ba Ba good advice I'll make a beer run now

Beer is ok but I prefer to start my holiday with Dewars and water on the rocks. Much cleaner. Usually try to wait till noon but its the start of the 4th so what the hey a few hours early won't kill anyone. Save the beer for the burgers when the guests come over.:HappyWave:
We can't let these storms intimidate us we are Jersey proud. Eff Sandy and Arthur too!:2flip:

From the NWS -
Cristobal - tropical storm cristobal, which is far south of the area, looks to move well off our coast for the next 3-5 days giving us some tropical swell for the rest of the week.

I agree so much better and lets not forget seabass. When fluke and blackfish limits decreased and bass rebounded as I refer to them fluke fisherman gone wild became so called bass fisherman , with out snag and drop bunker most can't catch a fish but they will return on 9/27/15 when they can't fish for fluke. Lets not forget the rest of the snag and drop crew who can only catch a fish that way.

This is an interesting noreaster. Actually very wet. The rain was coming down in buckets on my roof this morning and woke me up. I was checking the weather cams and found this of the manasquan inlet. before sunup you can see the rain coming sideways from the East. Those are the little streaks you see in the pics. We like it here, fishing is a bit different no stripers or blues unless you stay up towards the outer banks and I don't think the fishing there is all that great anymore.Red and black drum are running now mainly bait fishing some mullet very small blues. We were just tired of paying all those taxes and getting nothing in return, different lifestyle here it's not a rat race people are actually nice here.Prices are going up house wise as is property if my taxes do go up I'm not stressing because I will probably be dead by the time they reach ny rates if that ever happens.
