Some of the NJ friends here may not even realize my primary residence is in PA, Imagine my surprise when I found out some Hybrids Stripers and big ones moved in only 1 mile away. They seemed to have treked down from a major lake with an aggressive spillway, which also seems to have stocked the river with Walleye throughout the years. People would call me a liar if i said locally I am catching these fish. The hybrids fight strong then a true striper instead of trying to go down down they take wild long runs, similar to a false albie fight. Now even though I seem to end up with fish from time to time boy do I still end up doing some bonehead stuff. I didn't anticipate getting some 6-8 lb walleye from this elevated wall, i semi straighted a hook trying to lift the big girl and broke off another close lifting it when the line grazed the cement. The downside both species only bite in about a 15 min period at false light or dawn.

This one I did get in, almost 27" 18998

This one was a slob and had me checking whats the state record, one of the best fights I ever had on a GLoomis medium in strong current 18999

Love these fish but not a ton out there, wish the river was full of them 19000

Wow that one walleye is a slob! How many fishing trips out there before you figured out that 15 minute biting period? Great pics thanks for sharing.
