I caught a bunch of fluke this year, maybe 300 but hardly any of them were keepers.
It was so uninspiring I don't even have a full count. I do remember every striper and bluefish. Even the shorts. My question is if the bass stocks are really down it will always be easy to catch fluke. So what.

Would you rather be great at that or will you still pursue the striped ones? Me I'm going for the bass and bluefish whether I catch them or not.

I caught a lot of fluke too. If the regs do change we may need to shift focus and have them as our primary targets. I do think it's more challenging to catch bass and they will be my targets. If something is too easy to catch such as fluke it becomes a routine, gets boring to me.
