Nice looking plug. Looks about 35 years old? I seem to remember some metal lip swimmers that have that name as well. Never fished them but looks like they would dig in well in a rip or behind a curl.

Nice site and info. Thanks.
I was looking for a small wood darter, that was like the only one I could find.
Saltys has a kit for it. 1 Oz Little Buggereno,
Think I will make a couple this winter.
That plug has hooks out the wazoo. Salty's has 1 treble and a swash.

Great plug, I do Saltys 1 oz. and 3 oz. version the kits are through wired good in heavy current they don't take much of a beating though if you over epoxy them they don't dart right.I haven't fished the 1 oz. yet but did get some schoolies on the 3 oz. on the backside of Demo. Silver base coat then Chartreuse with some light gold fogged in with a black back worked well.I just painted a red head/yellow one waiting to epoxy it.The bass tend to follow it before hitting so just keep reeling until they commit to it.

Thanks Stix. I always have the urge to put too heavy an epoxy coat on. Will go light.
I want the smallest profile, thinking lightly dressed siwash. Guess I have to have something on the rear. 2 trebles on it?

Make sure you epoxy the hook holders in or they will rip out I don't believe that is a through wired plug

Nice looking plug there let us know if it works if you make one. Surfstix that must be an awesome thing to hook a fish on some plug you yourself made.

Yeah it is good to catch on something you built I modify a lot of the kits now different lips and weighting just to see if I can get it to swim just a little differently you win some and lose the rest, but you won't know unless you try.The Buggereno kit is through wired they are made from cypress. You can use a siwash on the back.
