Sinking boat or sand level increasing

This boat went land bound I believe during Sandy or sometime early 2013 or sometime between (first pic is May 28, 2013.
The second pic is June 22, 2014.

I think it was a combination initially the boat started sinking into the wet sand then Mother Nature started putting sand back on the area.Not being familiar with the area if the boat is at the tide line every incoming would help to drop the boats level also.

Bingo I agree. I think it might have had something to do with the way they did the dredging as well. Every year when I used to fish up there a lot the shape of the Hook would change.

Guess there will be no salvage rights for that boat lol.
