Hey madcaster they are some scarey looking heads! Do you have them in some kind of solution that eats the flesh off or do you just let the maggots and bugs do it? BTW, how does your wife or girlfriend feel about that, hope you have it far away from the living space lol.:scared:
Found a few things yesterday. Dead drum and bluefish. Drum was about 4' long and smelled really rank! Blue about 5 lbs.

Awesome finds guys! I was out this morning and didnt see much but will keep looking.
steve .....I started them in some bleach /water .....them I realized I would have to keep an eye on it ....or the thing would fall apart ....and life happens and I was unable to watch it ...so I pulled it out and it's been sitting in that bucket for awhile now ....no bugs ...does smell a little ...no time to get to that project ....not sure when I'll get to it ...not sure if the wife knows about this one LOL.....
I usually find them on the beach ready to go .....not going to happen this year

Aah thats just a sea robin what else has surferman posted? Besides that robin looks too perfect. Surferman do you fish with rob medina? I have a hunch that you had some help framing that picture. It looks too pretty! My pics are all raw and real. All dead stuff. I try to take pics of their mouths so you could see their last moment of life. In another life I wanted to write horror comic books so you will have to excuse some of the macabre stuff. Surely you gents see the superior qualities of my pics. I always try to look for variety. My next goal is a dead cow nose ray or giant ocean sunfish washed up. monty I remember one year you posted a dead sunfish pic. Once I get that under my belt I will be unstoppable!:moon:
If he wasn't fishing with rob, he certainly was inspired by him. That is by far the best petrified sea robin I have seen. Impeccable.
You really need to find something dead that's special. A whale, huge shark, sunfish like you mentioned, something ground breaking. Its not easy, just keep plugging away, maybe, just maybe you will get lucky....lmao.
And if your lucky maybe you can bump into something like this at 2:30 am...

Good lord monty what the heck is that? Looks huge how big was it. And thanks for the compliments about that dead searobin. I definitely got inspired from rob's postings. I think I read that he is a professional photographer.
I call it SSWD, AKA Stormin Steve's Wet Dream. :ROFLMAO :HappyWave:
Found it in 2010 ocean side, big dead turtle, at 2:30 AM it looked like an alien.
