awesome reports you are a fishing machine.thanks for sharing. Do you ever get skunked?
well I try to stay on 'em as much as possible.
oh yes I get skunked too.
last Wednesday when I was OTW I fished a deep hole for almost 3 hrs knowing there had to be fish down there.
the previous night I got 5 out of there including a 17lb'er and a few nights before that go one that was 2 clicks under 20 on BT's.
at the end of the flood I connected with a micro bass and beat the skunk.
that Thursday night I got skunked with not a single touch.
anyhow Friday I tried for 2 hrs without a hit, didn't hang around and headed home.
sat it out the rest of the weekend.
fish either moved outside or further deep inside.
hoping this cold blast doesn't kill the late fall bite so much.
I know a few spots that hold resident fish but,if it gets below 42f,they don't bite.
so,keeping my fingers crossed.

nice.fattie on Bt.
Lots of nice fish, you fishing in a canal somewhere?
yeah they are nice when they are there/willing to bite,,,lol.
no canal river fishing is all I do now.
I gave up on the surf years ago,too much open space and fish could be anywhere.
once I saw that river fishing resulted in many more fish caught,I went with it and are staying with it.

6 inch sea shad/1 oz leadhead.
I've been following your reports for years and always enjoying them. Rubber and jigs always seem to produce during the end of the season as it gets colder. Nice going, thanks for sharing the memories.
X2! Awesome reports you are lucky to be in an area where there are so many fish, congrats!
indeed they do,I suppose that's due to the cooler water.
my guess is they slow down a bit and won't chase much to conserve energy/turn to ambush much more than running down prey.
at times they won't even touch the freshwater sized xrap 14's or 16-a bombers.
then the next night they are all over it.
when using bt's and rubber you make the lure come to them and they attack it as it comes to them or by them.
that's my idea on it.
glad you enjoy the pix,I enjoy sharing them.
ya know something,I actually can remember almost every one of them and where I caught them.
I guess that's true although,I am usually the only one out there fishing from October until the end.
the backwater pockets are where the fish are laying, lots of spots to lay inside, under, over,or behind obstructions around corners waiting to attack food.
that's where you'll find them.
sort of like spots where you'd find smallmouth bass lurking.
Nice.

6 inch sea shad.
is that 11 15 2016 or 12 15 2016? All the back bays and rivers are 40 degrees or less here, are you still catching stripers??
Yeah that's what I thought 42 is the magic number. Hey, I always appreciate your reports and how hard you work at it, thanks for sharing. Happy holidays as well!
you'd be amazed at how many guys that fish and have fished a long time that don't know that.
most think when the air gets cold the fish leave.
they are still there ya just gotta calm it down in size and speed and you will catch some.
at any rate I hope to have new pix to share,I still do have some that I have not posted yet but,I will.
def need some new pix.
merry Christmas to you and yours M8.
