Nice!
Great reports gentleman looks like they are here and have invaded all enemy territory! I fished nomoco 4 to 7 p.m. yesterday. The water was a little turned up, but they were definitely there at the farthest end of the cast. Plugs and bucktails did it for me. Got broke off twice.
Great reports keep them coming gentleman. Haven't been able to get out in a few days, but my buddies have been getting them near Cape May. Blood worms and clams. 30 Pounders. One of the few times when I am feeling handicapped for not being able to get out.
Hah That's The Story of My Life! Usually I get there and guys are going home saying man you should have been here yesterday.
Thanks for the heads up though, good to know they are on the move.
Gave it a try in OC last night from dark until an hour after. Ocean was turned up from the rain but not as dirty as I thought it would be. Was throwing a 3-ounce metal spoon and trying to keep it away from the top of the waves. Managed 1 blue 37 incher. Nice fight
Slammed them in the back Ocean County again this morning. From when the sun came up until tide dropped too low. some nice blues in the mix.
3 to 13 lbs. Plugs and bucktails.
Got my first hose job from weather, tried some night time plugging where some big bass should be now but the wind was screaming wasn't even in the game and all the water was blown out.
Slow today water like chocolate milk from the heavy south wind and rain yesterday
Had 3 blues to 8#
2 bass to 23" and 4 blues to 6# all on jig head and Chartreuse shaker tails
Out yesterday afternoon in Moco. It seems like mid-afternoon the by turned on with these blues once the water cleaned up a little bit. Got a bunch of them different sizes up to 38 inches. Small avas and plugs were working for me.
Yep you definitely cant catch em from the couch.
Nomoco from 6-9pm sun in the back. Great activity right around high tide on metal and plugs as was mentioned. Then it slowly died down gradually. No stripes for me just a couple of nice bluefish.
I fished Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was very windy cold and nasty I got the skunk. I fished the ocean in Moco and then went into the back where everyone has been, but they weren't really doing that well and neither did I. Yesterday afternoon was better, it seems like the blues turned on late afternoon and I got a bunch. That small diamond jig seems to be a very good producer. Plus it only has one hook so you don't get all tangled up with the trebels.
Ocean county in the surf yesterday for a few hours. Got one nice big bluefish on krocodile spoon. 2 others got off before i got them in. Missed a few more.
Moco 7-10pm. Got into some decent blue fish in the back. They were kind of picky, could only get them with rubber shads. After I was tired of having them tear them up, I went to the Oceanside and fished for an hour and a half. Picked up one small striper on bucktail and that was all she wrote. Water and winds seem like they got a little colder.
How are the bait guys doing with the blues when the water gets colder?
