Is that a trigger fish on the bottom? cool find. What happened to the giant sea creatures and carcasses you guys used to come across? Guess you can't even count on finding big bluefish or drum racks anymore. Nice work tho.
Most everyone quit for the summer. When fall comes around and the immigrants start fishing again you will have plenty of fish racks and trash lying all over the beaches.
Whoa Nelly. Just a minute! Monty is a great contributor and has put a lot into that thread. He started it and forged a new path in angling history! But he is not the king I am! He might be a close second while I have been sucking wind this year. I'll give him that. He's definitely the King of white water as you guys said. I'm still the King of the dead things tho!
Monty I hope you are not mad at me for coming in here and saying that. Apologies for hijacking the thread. I had to set the record straight. I hope your birthday gave you everything you asked for and you catch lots of fish in the months ahead. Cheers and best wishes!:HappyWave: :birthday:
Only one thing last night. Had to do a lot of walking to find it. I saw that some northeast wind is happening next week. Maybe we will have a storm or 2 to bring some things to the beach.
Sorry to burst the bubble dude but I say you two are about tied over the years. I really think monty is doing better since he started to fish long island. NJ SUCKS for dead things this year.
Thank you guys. :HappyWave:
With my consistent dead things finding year in and year out, and until someone tops my 2010 find below,,,,,,,, I be the Dead Things King :viking:

Gee Whiz the guy finds one unidentified loch ness monster in his life and he's still milking it 5 years later.
Still if you want to be the dead things king I want to see at least one crazy thing like that per year! I totally get where you're coming from. Much respect for all the miles you put out to find this stuff. I had a few good years too and you don't see me bringing up my mega finds from the past. It's all about today and 2015!
Honestly this year has sucked for me. If it wasn't for all those bluefish I found in may I would be in last place. If you want the undisputed title you will have to battle for it. I will say I think you and I are the 2 best dead thing finders on the east coast! No one out there can come close. For now we'll see what happens. Waiting for a few noreasters in the fall and hoping they bring one of the gillnetters or belford pirates catches up on the shore for a dead things bonanza.
:2flip: :HappyWave:?????? Wow I can't believe you said that. Its good to know when one has friends in this world?? Is it too late for me to join the effumall club?
Yes NJ does suck for dead things. We can only hope for some big storms this fall to shake things up.
Man that has got to be some powerful list of wishes for life achievements lol
storminsteve, 3rd grade wishlist
1 become a fireman

3 fart in class and blame it on someone else
4 tell a funny story in the lunchroom so milk comes out of one kids nose
5 become a lifetime master at finding dead things :kooky:
:viking:
Dead stuff. Find it, take a pic, jump up and down, post pic, be Dead Things King.....it's what I do.
Storminsteve and I rule the east, imposters like Dark and his headless torso are just that, fly by night dead thing dreamers.
It takes a certain amount of character to find.......Dead Stuff :headbang:
No luck at all tonight. Lots of trash and dead bait but no actual dead things. Monty you're up next.
As long as you don't start calling yourself the striper consultants.Does anyone remember that guy he was way out there. :kooky:
anyone know him
From last Sunday AM, not much at all, a bone and smashed bird.

I was trying to stay out of this thread less any accusations of favoritism come up.
I let ya's make your own rules and decide the pecking order in the dead things universe.
But you mooks don't let up.....:2flip: you just had to draw me in....didn't ya's? :moon::kiss::laugh: :HappyWave:
Yep, I know I barely fish anymore....:embarassed:...It's true....I can't defend against that statement...those who know me...know why...it is what it is.....:don't know why:
When the fish were here in (greater) numbers.....I made an effort to get out there.....in the middle of the cold months......some friends and I got a few hundred....... each Winter....while all the rest of you tough guys were tucked in your houses...:moon:....safe in your easy chair or comfy couches.....and a few of us were braving the winter winds and sub 20 degree temps....:scared:....to get some nice fish that no one thought were here.....:moon: :HappyWave:

Somehow I had a sense that wouldn't last forever......and with the jetties all crumbling and covered now....that hunch came true.....
In my estimate....NJ has dropped down the list of desirable East Coast places to fish....from being in the top 5....to much lower in the rankings......
There's not much we can do about it now, though.....or for the next 20 years....
