Here is my wife with her 2 bass from wednesday very early am.
she was doing it all by herself with a 5 inch calcutta swimbait.
befor these 2 she got slammed 2wice in the rips by good fish which she fought hard and took line on her,she fought back but,one got off in the rip and the other dragged her downcurrent to the grass and thrashed there she was holding on but, that one got off too.
she was slinging a capt bills atom jr in bunker color, watching her fight with the fish was great!
yeah,I am proud of her,,,,,I give her a Hell Yeah!

^ Some decent bass coming into your fishing mix, Roddy....guess ya won't be accepting my invite to fish NJ anytime soon, then.....;)
Nice work, best of luck.....:fishing: :HappyWave:
Slamming the stripers, nice! What bait are they on, bunkers?

small bass from this am.
caught a large gator earlier but, during my trying to get some good action shots it kept going left/right,could not get it to stay in the frame then it got off.
beat up the skunk though,,,,,,got soaked to the bone, rain never let up,I headed for some coffee and pancakes/sausage,,,,

Yeah those gators have a way of doing what they want once they are being taken out of the water. nice pictures. all at night? nice rubber too.
oh man,who you telling?,,,they are simply motivated by demons or something.
most are during darkness but, some are in the very early light.
I have been fishing with plugs on the larger size, they seem to get their attention much more so than say a bomber or such.
they are around and seem to be spread out so,anywhere I fish i sling big wood to alert them to my offering,,,it's been working well.
as for the ruber,i am using the largest i have and can find in my parts.6-9 inches.
the bass are hitting it so,I must be doing it right.

my recent gator action
the last 3 shotz, this gator slammed a 12 inch piece of poplar, has balls,,,,

Boy do they look fat ripplugger! Any estimate on the size? Thanks for posting. Good job on the catching.
Was great to see the pics of Sandy with the Gators. The ones with the bass was good, but that she got a chance to tangle with the Gators is something she will not forget. I have said before, I don't forget the times I have tangled with them, their strength, never give-up and shear ferocity are very appealing :).
Great pics and a big time "congratulations" to Sandy.
Hi CH,
my guesstimation is 13-15lbs,maybe a 16 in there somewhere.

It took me awhile to join the Gator party. Sandy and you have been enjoying some great Blue Fish action this fall.
Finally caught one this morning on this Afterhours Danny and of coarse lost one.

yes they are M8,they are eating up well, good to see them bigones around again, have not seen them in a very long time.
they are not afraid of my big wood either,,,maybe they are packing?,,,,,
they are not gone though, they are still getting some on chunks but, they are not bashing on top anymore,my guess is the water is below their comfort zone but, they are lingering because there are some bunkers, herring and baby gizzard shad still around.
I don't doubt they will take slim plug subsurface.
some years ago we did catch them on thanksgiving day night with bombers fished over these 2 humps in shallow water I know of well, they would hit soft and fight softer than normal.
I remember the water being cold and they were still there.
we even took along some wooden fence pickets to make a fire to stay warm and the fish would be there at the first half of the tides ebb.
some folks woud look at us like we were crazy when we were heading back to our cars and saw us with a big gator each,,,the many others caught those nights were released.
