As we settle into the summer, I knew I needed to scout some more ground for the fishin in the next month or 2. So I took a little drive. ;) Never been to the North Fork before, and I found it to be a little slice of heaven.
I wish I could afford to live there, I might move there tomorrow. Peaceful, still some farmland left (rapidly diminishing). Another diminishing commodity on the NS is parking for fisherman access. After driving some 300 miles in 24 hours, I found some decent spots.
And the real people who run those farms, as opposed to the maniac, mosquito resembling, impatient LI drivers in the BMW, Volvo and SLK500 prestige toys, are as nice as can be. Reminded me of being in upstate NY, except water was everywhere, and so was the beauty. So here's some of the pics I took.
If ya got a wife or girlfriend, take her on a nice long trip up the north fork one day, it's beautiful country, and there's enough up there for the whole family to do.
