After 30 years, one moratorium,a fishery that has declined to the point of disaster and the body is too broken down to do what needs to be done - I've decided to pack it in after this season I have a week in Montauk in Sept. I will probably end it all hitting the entire southshore from Montauk to Robert Moses by early November.Done deal..
I might be right behind you after over 50 years as far as the surf goes, too many assho_les who will undoubtedly will finish the job they started decimating the bass:waaah:

oh- I thought you were done with fishing- I see now you meant just Surf- yeah can't blame you there. I haven't surf fished once this year except in florida on vacation.
I think I can still manage some boat trips I can't give up my fall diamond jigging.
