wishing for spring

Today I got my car washed and when I was out there drying it off I felt a spring like breeze!
For a half sec I closed my eyes and was fantasizing it was April. Wishful thinking I know. 2 more months of winter before that happens. Anyone else feel that spring sunny breeze or fantasize about Spring today?

I'm looking forward to April but May is the month fishing has normally gotten into gear for me. It did feel much warmer today, felt good.

^^^^^ Ditto. I think with the mild winter so far the early racer blues and small stripers might be active by the middle of march this year. Hoping for that anyway. And I agree yesterday there was a warm spell. I heard some places almost reached 50 degrees. Woo hoo baby!

No chance on Blues in March. You will have to wait to April for those.

I usually catch them in april as well, around the middle of the month. I do recall one year there were B&N weigh-ins in march.

Crazy! In the 60's today, chance of snow on friday.Feels like the ides of march in february.

x2. I walked the dog in the woods this morning. The smoke was coming off the ground with all the melted snow. The clouds were clearing just a bit. Close your eyes and it def seems to be more toward march. I heard of the snow, that should just be a coating. Lets keep it positive and before you know it stripers will be in the bays again.

Water is 37 just came back from Florida water there was only 66

What finchaser said. looks can be deceiving. The water is still very cold.
I'm getting readings of 40 to low 40's. We need a few weeks of sun and subdued winds before the water starts to warm up. Look for the back creeks and sod banks to start jumping into spring first.

Yesterday morning felt great in the sixty degree range. Then by last night we were back with 40mph winds blowing and it got cold! Beware the ides of march!
