I went, got there at 8:30, just before doors opened, longest line I have ever been on at a show. The line was inside and went down long halls and wrapped around in a circle in the cafeteria eating area. I was in line for 45 minutes talking fishing with the guys around me, so had no issue with the line, was a good time. I was at least 700 or 800 people deep in line. The floor with all of the vendors, reps and sponsors was jammed with people.Could not walk 10 feet without having to stop (maybe 3 feet, it was jammed). But I had no issue with that, just took my time seeing what I wanted. Bought a few Big Fischer plugs, Goo Goo Man plugs and Joe Baggs Bucktails, which is what I went for. I thought the show was great. I didn't see any "bargains", but I wasn't looking for them and this type of show normally doesn't have many of them, though I guess some were there. I didn't go to any seminars, from what I heard they were OK and in theater areas.
They could use a bigger place, but if they had it in the same place again next year I would certainly go again. I walked around and talked with a few people for 90 minutes, maybe 2 hours and then left. I live in North Jersey, the ride there and back was easy. I thought Zeno and his crew put on a great show for a first time event.
As I walked up to the building some people were leaving saying the line was unreal long, and it was, but talking fishing for that time with some guys from LI was great (fishermen should have have patience anyway).

I thought the same as well. Great show. I was on line at 6am so I was only 100 deep. It was a chance for a lot of us to get out after not fishing or feeling cooped up. The cabin fever played well for this show. For a first time event there was a lot of traffic. Good vendors and seminars. I think this has the potential to be better than surf day that NJ has. But what do I know I am a solid lawn-guy-lander.

The Fly Fishing Show at the Garden State Convention Center in Somerset continues through Sunday. John Mazurkiewicz reports the G. Loomis display will include the complete fly rod line-up, including the NRX 5# LP - winner of George Anderson's Yellowstone Angler 2016 5-Weight Shootout, and the ICAST award winning PRO4x ShortStix rods. Steve Rajeff, Tom Larimer and D Kondak, along with local and area pro staff, will be on-site to answer any questions.
? Noted anglers including Oliver White and Eric and Moe Newman will be in the booth at times throughout the weekend, while Ian Devlin and Mark Sedotti, noted East Coast anglers who worked closely with Steve Rajeff in designing the PRO4x ShortStix, will be in booth on Saturday.
? Need some casting help? Steve Rajeff will be giving his "Better Loops for Accuracy and Distance' casting demos on Friday at 2:45pm, and again on Sunday at 10:15am.
? After show ends on Friday night, G. Loomis will again be the presenting sponsor for the International Fly Fishing Film Fest (http://www.flyfilmfest.com). This special event starts at 6:30pm at the Hilton Doubletree - connected to the Garden State Convention Center.
