    Cool new for 2016

    just finished this 9-1/2 inch rip-commander last night[smokey joe]

    this one is interesting,it was a large fatcat that had a problem,the wood was so dense on the tail end that it would not swim right.
    I tried several lips but, no go.
    so,instead of just taking it apart and throwing it to the water gods like a do with a bad build I took it and reshaped it into a hound dog design which took off the tail end and then turned it around so now the nose was the tail.
    it should swim proper now.

    stretched rip-commander.
    the original design is thicker,i shaped this one then stretched it out some since the wood I used was a bit shorter than I wanted.

    actually no,I made one bigger late last year,wil test it this coming spring though.
    I actually have 3 very large ones jointed and big!

    the blue/grey one is something like 17 inches,the second one is 13 inches and the rest are right around 15-16 inches.

    Wow. Was wondering how you toss a 17 inch jointed plug? Or are you drifting them from on top of a bridge or inlet?

    I cast them and then can drift waay out like 150 yds or more then slow crank them back.
    mostly that's what I built them for as well as a novelty but,they do work.
