So when fish hits it can grab hook the way you have it can push against body of plug and you miss him better hook up ratio
It's how we rig em at the shop also how all the tuna lures come from the factory

Nope, I have the front hook correct, the back hook down, but I think I like it like that. That plugs hook sets have been pretty good. Its the plugs with trebles.......
I have been slamming them good lately. Better hook sets. The landing ratio has been much better recently.
And you find anything dead lately????
    Looks like I win again!!!!

Owner ,mustad and VMC suggest the configuration I showed you some plugs don't swim your way
I have rigged hundred in the past 3 years
all my Sp's have been rigged with them for the past 2 years
There is a diagram on every pack of owners
    but to each his own

Headed out this AM, only one bass around 3:00 AM on a Choopy small yellow/black needle.
Was going to fish larger plugs and brought the 11' ODM, 3:30 ended up loosing a plug (second time on this trip the line broke). Found top tip guide cracked. Walked back and got the 10' rod, lost one other fish false dawn.
Nice trip , beautiful out there. I am ready to fish some sand, 3 out of 5 nights out there on the rocks has been great fun and very physical.

    Thanks again Fin.
I have been rigging them like this from the beginning, will likely make the change on the tail hook.

This mornings trip, fished from 2:45-7:30.
    Beautiful weather.
Landed 4 bass and 1 blue, between 22 and 26 inches.
Missed a couple hits. Fun. (2 Bass in dark, others false dawn).
Surf Asylum Glider 3 bass, Orca top water for the other bass and blue.
4 trips there in 8 days, I am beat-up pretty good, would repeat in a heart beat, it is beautiful out there.

Great sunrise pics as always. Kudos for fishing away from where the cool kids have been casting.
